CANADA SUMMER JOBS PROGRAM
The Kelowna Chamber of Commerce is seeking three energetic and creative post secondary students to join our team for the summer. These individuals will bring their passion for making a difference and their strong organizational and interpersonal skills to a team that is focused on continuously creating value for our members and the communities we serve. These positions will run for a minimum of eight weeks though the contract could be extended depending on the successful candidate and available budget.

Position 1 - Event Coordinator
The purpose of the job is to assist in driving member retention and attraction through delivery of valued quality events and programs. Under the direction of the Member Services Manager, the Event Coordinator serves the needs of the members by assisting with the Chamber's programs and events.

Position 2 - Project Administration Officer
The purpose of the job is to assist in driving member retention through communication with members to address account changes and profiles with their directory listing. Under the direction of the Member Services Manager, the Project Administration Officer serves the needs of the members by maintaining the Chambers database (CRM) while assisting with communications to members.

Position 3 - Marketing Coordinator
The purpose of the job is to create and review communications to engage with members, the public and key stakeholders. Under the direction of the Member Services Manager, the Marketing and Communications Coordinator assists with the communications activities and marketing and promotional initiatives for members.

DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS
The Kelowna Chamber of Commerce is seeking a leader with a solid background working for a chamber of commerce/board of trade or similar member-based organization, to help lead our team as Director of Operations. This individual will bring their passion for making a difference and their strong organizational and interpersonal skills to an energetic team that is focused on continuously creating value for our members and the communities we serve. Reporting directly to the Executive Director, you will be the administrative lead for the organization and its 1000+ members. As the Director of Operations, you will act as the hub of internal information including financial and operational processes and will support the activities of others to keep the organization thriving on a day-to-day basis. You will also be the go-to person in utilizing the organization’s CRM including mentoring other staff as needed. An exciting core component will be supporting the Executive Director in interfacing with the organization’s Board of Directors furthering the chamber’s strategic plan and vision.
