On behalf of the Kelowna Chamber of Commerce, I am pleased to offer our support for the concept of establishing a World Trade Centre in the Okanagan region of British Columbia, Canada.

The Okanagan is one of the fastest-growing regions in the country, recognized for its entrepreneurial drive, sectoral diversity, and international outlook. Kelowna, the region's largest city, is home to over 700 technology companies, a major international airport, and one of Canada's most dynamic business communities. Our Chamber proudly represents more than 1,000 member businesses across sectors such as technology and innovation, agriculture and viticulture, clean tech, wellness and tourism, and advanced manufacturing - all well aligned with global trade and investment.

A World Trade Centre in the Okanagan could provide a valuable platform to connect local businesses with international markets, attract foreign investment, and strengthen the region's capacity for global engagement. It could also complement the work of regional organizations dedicated to building a resilient, future-oriented economy.

We see real merit in expanding the WTCA's presence in Canada, particularly in Western Canada - the Okanagan represents a timely and strategic opportunity for this growth.

We look forward to further conversations as this initiative progresses and welcome continued engagement with the team responsible for applying for the WTC Okanagan license.

Sincerely,

George Greenwood, Chief Executive Officer, Kelowna Chamber of Commerce
