Kelowna Pride Week will take place June 1 -9. A variety of events will take place in public spaces downtown to celebrate and support LGBTQ2S+ community members, including the annual Pride March on June 8. Kelowna Pride began over 25 years ago, and support grows every year. The festival attracts more than 12,000 people to be proud and celebrate love, equity, and diversity.
There are dozens of events schedule around the city, from larger venues and outdoor spaces to smaller gatherings. Here are just a few.
- Sunday, June 2 – Pride Bike Rally (Riders to follow rules of the road from RCA to Vice & Virtue Brewing)
- Tuesday, June 4 – Big Gay Dog Walk (City Park waterfront promenade)
- Wednesday, June 5 – Trans March (Stuart Park, along Water Street to Ellis Street to Revelry)
- Thursday, June 6 – 2S Powwow (City Park, North Field)
- Saturday, June 8 – Pride March & Festival, and Yoga (March from Stuart Park to City Park along the waterfront promenade, festival to follow in City Park, North Field)
