Kelowna Chamber 2023 Business Excellence Award Winners Announced

 

Kelowna: Four hundred business and community leaders were on hand as Anodyne Electronics Manufacturing was named the 2023 Large Business of the Year at the 36th Annual Kelowna Chamber Business Excellence Awards Friday.   In operation since 2009, Anodyne Electronics Manufacturing Corp. (AEM) grew out of its founding company Northern Airborne Technology (NAT) established in 1979.

“On behalf of our whole team I am delighted to accept this award,” said AEM General Manager Taylor Wylie.

 

Other award winners included Secure-Rite Mobile Storage and Potentia HR which won the Mid-Size and Small Business of the Year Awards respectively while SncƏwips Heritage Museum was recognized as Indigenous Business of the Year.  (A complete list of award recipients is provided below.)

 

Kelowna’s mayor, Tom Dyas helped open the celebration, saying “the City applauds all of you who make our community such a great place to live and work and I particularly want to congratulate the 2023 Business Leader of the Year: our own Sam Samaddar of YLW.”

 

Chamber Board Chair Dan Price was on hand to take part in the celebrations and thanked everyone for attending, particularly the event’s many sponsors, and Interior Savings and Lawson Lundell LLP as presenting sponsors of the awards program.

 

Ted Schisler, COO of presenting sponsor Interior Savings provided his take on the event: “As the challenges in our operating environments continue to evolve, it’s no small feat to continue to achieve success in running a business.” Meanwhile Samantha Ferguson, Associate at presenting sponsor Lawson Lundell LLP was warm in offering her congratulations to all the finalists and the winners.
