KELOWNA CHAMBER EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR JOINS NATIONAL CHAMBER BOARD

Kelowna:  Kelowna Chamber Executive Director Dan Rogers was appointed to the Canadian Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors at the national AGM and Policy Conference in Ottawa which concluded on October 15.

The Hon. Perrin Beatty, President & CEO, Canadian Chamber of Commerce; Dan Rogers, Executive Director, Kelowna Chamber of Commerce.

Rogers is serving as the second Vice President with the Chamber of Commerce Executives of Canada and will represent the CCEC on the Canadian Chamber Board for the next three years. Following the appointment to the national board Rogers stated, “I am humbled and honoured to join the Hon. Perrin Beatty and the rest of the Canadian Chamber Board for 2022-2023.”  The CCEC is the professional development organization for hundreds of Chamber CEOs and executives involved in the management of Chambers of Commerce and Boards of Trade across Canada.

The Canadian Chamber also announced the election of Candace Laing, Senior Vice President, and Chief Human Resources Officer at Nutrien, as Chair of its board of directors for 2022-2023.

Dan’s accomplishments over the past five years include:

  • Serving as a Director, President, and Past President for the BC Chamber Executives.
  • Serving three years on the Executive of the CCEC
  • Leading the Kelowna Chamber’s efforts to receive Accreditation from the National Chambers Accreditation Council (one of only a handful of Chambers in BC to receive such designation).

The Kelowna Chamber of Commerce is the largest chamber in interior BC, and is active in working with its 1,000 members, particularly in the arena of policy and advocacy issues of interest to its members.
