KELOWNA CHAMBER TO GET NEW CHAIR OF THE BOARD
Election of Chamber Directors Underway

Kelowna: Pamela Pearson is set to take over as Chair of the Board for the Kelowna Chamber of Commerce. The Director of Operations at Sentes Automotive was acclaimed as President-elect and will be sworn in at the Chamber’s AGM on Thursday March 17. Pearson has served three years on the Board, most recently as Secretary.

“As Chair of the Board’s Member Care Committee for the past two years, I am passionate about connecting with our members to ensure that their voices are heard as part of the community”, says Pearson. “The Kelowna Chamber invests significantly in our advocacy efforts and while government doesn’t act on all our recommendations, we are pleased that they listen and have taken action on many that have led to a stronger economy in the central Okanagan.”

The other table officers were also elected by acclamation with Dan Price of Dilworth Quality Homes returning as Vice President. Maryse Harvey of MH2 Advisory Services will serve as Secretary. Current President Jeffrey Robinson will move into the Past President role following the AGM.

Voting for the rest of the volunteer board is now underway with 20 candidates seeking 14 Director positions. Only Chamber members can participate in the online voting which will remain open until the end of day (4:30pm) on Friday February 18th

“One of the highlights of our year is the election of new directors,” said Robinson. “Directors are volunteers from diverse professional backgrounds who once elected help establish the long-term strategic direction and priorities for the organization.”
