Official Opposition Leader Addresses Valley Chambers

Kelowna: The Hon. Erin O’Toole, Leader of Canada’s Conservatives and the Official Opposition and Conservative Party MP for Durham, Ontario, will be the guest speaker at a Kelowna Chamber virtual event on Friday, June 25 at 12 noon. Other Okanagan Valley Chambers will also be part of the event through the Chamber COVID Response Coalition #OkWeGotThis.

Mr. O’Toole will give a 15-20 minute presentation informed by his role as Leader of the Conservative Party of Canada, and his nine years in Parliament.  He will touch on the platform of his party, the support for that platform across the country and particularly in the west, and review the national and international challenges that he and his party have identified as major issues in 2021.

His background includes service in the military, working as a corporate lawyer in the private sector, and an increasingly senior career as an elected official, including Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of International Trade before becoming Minister of Veterans Affairs. He was Shadow Minister of Foreign Affairs for two years before his election as Leader of the Conservative Party.

Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions of Mr. O’Toole at the conclusion of his presentation through the virtual platform.

In addressing Vancouver Island Chambers of Commerce in early April, Mr. O’Toole spoke about the Conservative Party position on the environment, jobs and the economy, and his five-point recovery plan to secure the future for Canadians.

The event is part of the Okanagan School of Business Signature Speaker Series, and is sponsored in part by Kindhra Construction, Ltd.
