fundraiser for BC Children's Hospital Foundation
People are what make our businesses and organizations so special. We create the space, but it's your energy and drive that continues to make this region a remarkable place to live and work. So when we have an opportunity to share some of the work that our organizations are doing in our community, we do what we can to help support.
Music for the Mighty is fundraising for BC Children's Hospital's Social Work fund which needs $50,000 annually so that parents can focus on caring for their child and for themselves, without financial stress looming over them. It is their hope to relieve this burden so that parents and caregivers can focus on what really matters: supporting their child.

My name is Jordan with Align West Homes, and I am one of the creators of the upcoming fundraiser concert “Music for the Mighty” in support of BC Children’s Hospital.
On January 15th 2018, the hardest journey of my life began as I navigated the disbelief that my very own daughter was diagnosed with a brain tumor. In less than 24 hours she was flown from Kelowna to BC Children’s, and in three days they had assembled a team in collaboration with Vancouver General Hospital and performed life-threatening surgery on my little girl.
Music is what I anchored to. Through the surgery, ICU, walking up and down the halls, and sleepless nights. Music helped me then, and helps now, penetrate through life’s uncertainty. Although the road to recovery has not been easy, my daughter IS a success story. She has fewer doctor’s appointments, and our visits to BC Children’s are less frequent. Giving back is a way to show my continued gratitude, and that I have not forgotten.
Music, and BC Children’s Hospital, will forever be a part of my story. And that is why I am doing “Music for the Mighty”.
