Kelowna: The Kelowna Chamber welcomes MP Randy Boissonnault, Minister of Tourism and Associate Minister of Finance on Thursday April 6 for a luncheon address on the Federal Budget 2023 which is being tabled today. Registration and ticket sales for this event are available at https://secure.kelownachamber.org/events/Speaker-Series-Post-Federal-Budget-Review-with-Hon-Minister-Randy-Boissonnault-5276/details. Registration closes Monday April 3. The event is being held at the Coast Capri Hotel in Kelowna; registration opens at 11:30am; the event concludes at 1:30pm.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming Minister Boissonnault to Kelowna,” said Dan Rogers, CEO of the Chamber. “Our local businesses recognize this new budget as the first truly post-pandemic budget for the federal government, and interest in how the government plans to deal with the pandemic-related cost increases and the growth in the deficit is high. I’m sure the audience will have some important questions to pose to the Minister.”

“We’re also pleased that the federal government sees Kelowna as an important part of the network of major Canadian business enterprises, and is making time to deliver information first-hand to us. We look forward to hearing him speak not only about the Budget, but to the economic importance of tourism in the Okanagan, BC and Canada – and to government initiatives to regrow the sector,” concluded Rogers.

The Minister will take questions from the audience after his remarks and is available to media after the conclusion of the luncheon.
