The Kelowna Chamber is hosting something new – and newsy – on Tuesday May 7 from 11:45-1:30 at the Coast Capri. The Chamber’s May luncheon sees us turn the microphones around and ask our local news gatherers the questions – including letting our audience quiz the panelists using Sli.do.

We plan to dive into the important issues that are impacting Kelowna and the Okanagan Valley with those who cover them everyday. Our local panel of media celebrities will share with us their top stories from 2018 and we’ll ask them what’s likely to grab the headlines in 2019.

Come to lunch on us if you’re a member of the media – just RSVP before 4pm on Thursday May 2 and we’ll save you a seat and make sure you get lunch.

Our distinguished panel of journalists includes:

• Al Waters, Regional Editor, Black Press
• Chris Walker, CBC Radio “Daybreak”
• Wayne Moore, Castanet
• Kent Molgat, KelownaNow
• Steve MacNaull, Daily Courier
• Phil Johnson, “The Early Edition” AM1150
• Doris Bregolisse, Global TV: anchor, producer
• Peter Angle, GM, Stingray Radio

About the Moderator
Dan Rogers, Executive Director of the Kelowna Chamber, is no stranger to the media: he’s been on both sides of the microphone. Dan worked for 15 years as a reporter/anchor/producer with CKPG Radio & Television in Prince George, before entering politics and serving fifteen years in local government as both a Councillor and Mayor.
